Articulate Storyline became a very popular e-learning authoring tool and the demand for localization of e-learning has gained an important momentum. As a result, we have been doing quite a bit of work with Articulate Storyline files and have identified some product glitches that the Articulate Storyline development team has yet to fix. One of the most obvious problems is the export/import functionality. While Articulate claims it supports XLIFF Export/Import, it is too buggy to be useful. This is unfortunate because XML-based files are normally far more localization friendly than Microsoft Word, which is the other export/import option. We were excited to see version 2.0 come out a couple of months ago. Unfortunately, the XLIFF export/import in this version is still buggy and we do not recommend using it.
